FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I know which service is right for me?
You can read about the services that I offer on the 'Sleep Services' page of my website. If you're not sure which service is right for you, you can book a free 15 minute phone consultation or send me an email explaining your child's sleep issue so that I can recommend the best service for you.

In general, if you have a major sleep issue that you need to tackle, such as teaching your older baby (4+months) how to sleep independently or learning how to soothe your newborn baby, I recommend that you purchase the 'Custom Sleep Plan + 7 Days of Support' service. For less significant sleep issues, such as getting rid of a dummy or transitioning to a "big kid" bed, I recommend that you purchase the 'Video or Phone Consultation (30 Mins)' service.

What is included in a custom sleep plan?

You will be emailed a custom sleep plan if you purchase the 'Custom Sleep Plan + 7 Days of Support' service. Your sleep plan will be tailored to you and your baby using the information in your client intake form and our 30-minute video or phone conference. Your plan will include information about sleep, age-appropriate sleep routines, my 'Golden Sleep Rules', and steps for teaching an older baby (4+ months) to sleep independently or soothing a newborn baby (0-3 months). The sleep plan will be emailed to you so that you can refer to it whenever you need it. I will also provide you with 7 days of support (starting on the day that I email you your plan) to help you implement the plan.

How quickly can you put together a custom sleep plan?

Your sleep plan will be emailed to you within 48 hours of our video or phone consultation. You will choose the date and time of our consultation when you book the 'Custom Sleep Plan + 7 Days of Support' service.

How should I prepare for our consultation?

If you have booked the 'Custom Sleep Plan + 7 Days of Support' or 'Video or Phone Consultation (30 Mins)' service, you will prepare for our conference by completing a client intake form. The client intake form will be emailed to you at the time of booking and will ask you a series of questions regarding your child's sleeping habits and your own preferences. A copy of the completed form will be emailed to you so that you have a copy on hand for our consultation.

If you have booked the 'New Client Phone Consultation (15 Mins)', you can prepare for our phone call by jotting down a list of your questions and concerns so that you don't forget any important information during our chat.

I want to teach my baby how to sleep independently: do you teach gentle sleep training methods?

Yes, I teach gentle sleep training methods. I also teach firmer sleep training methods. Some families wish to use gentler methods and do not mind how long it takes to see results. Other families are happy to use firmer approaches so that they see results faster. I will find a sleep training method that is suited to your and your baby using the information that you provide in your sleep questionnaire and our video or phone conference.
How old does my baby need to be before I can start sleep training?

Your baby must be at least 4 months old (or 4 months adjusted age for babies born early) before you can sleep train. Most babies under 4 months old are unable to learn how to sleep independently and need to be soothed to sleep. I can help you with sleep training your baby (4+ months) or soothing your newborn to sleep (0-3 months).
